      The Pennsylvania Gazette
Description: Reward Offered For Runway Servant Named Morgan JONES.
      Date: August 15 1754
      Newspaper published in: Philadelphia, PA
Run away from the subscriber, in Kent County, new Chester-town, on Chester river, Maryland, a servant man, nam'd Morgan JONES. Had on when he went away, an old felt hat, ozenbrigs shirt and trowsers, old brownish jacket, without skirts, and old shoes with strings; he is bald on the top of his head, has a large scar on the small of his left leg, and is a Welchman, about 32 years of age. Whoever takes up and secures said servant, so that his master may have him again, shall have twenty shillings reward, and charges, besides what the law allows, paid by John FOGWELL.

I only plotted out the tracts of land John Sr. owned. A description of where he lived from a church history I found somewhere was something like 1 mile east of Sudlers Crossing (Sudlersville). So that places his “Plantation” around Rt300 and Duhamel Corner Rd. (S/W corner) This did match some of the land patents for his purchases. I’ll try to locate the plot I made and send it along.

A quick check of my notes has him owning 406 acres in district 1 in QA County. [1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
